Born and raised in South Carolina, I grew up surrounded by a culture that puts a lot of value on taking care of people. I’ve carried that with me throughout my career in how I work with employees, how I advise leaders, and how I think about the kind of workplace people deserve to have
I created Carolina People Co. to bring that level of experience to growing businesses in a way that feels more personal, practical and flexible.
The beginning
Throughout my career, I’ve seen how quickly people issues can become business issues. A difficult employee situation, a manager who isn’t sure what to do, an outdated policy or a performance problem can take up an enormous amount of a business owner’s time, and often, there isn’t an HR expert available to help.
At larger organizations, there are entire teams dedicated to these things. Growing businesses deserve access to that same level of expertise without necessarily needing a full-time HR department.
That’s the heart of Carolina People Co.
To give growing businesses an experienced HR partner they can actually call when they need one, whether that’s every week, for a specific project, or simply when something complicated comes up.

The girl behind the desk
The thing I’m most proud of is being a wife and mom. I love spending my days with my husband and our two kids, finding new ways to make life an adventure. I’m still learning what it means to build a life, and a business, that I’m proud of, and my family is the inspiration behind so much of what I do.
When I’m not supporting businesses, you can usually find me planning our next family trip, playing Mahjong, or watching The Real Housewives (any franchise will do, but my great love is Salt Lake City).
